Chelsea beat Bournemouth 5-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, scoring twice inside the first three minutes through Jordan Henderson and Morgan Rogers, then adding goals from João Pedro (twice) and a Henderson free-kick after halftime. Evanilson scored Bournemouth’s only goal. The win lifts Chelsea to fifth in the Premier League, while Bournemouth slip to 18th, inside the relegation zone.
It took Chelsea three minutes to take control of this one, and Bournemouth never got it back.
Two Goals in Three Minutes
Chelsea were ahead in the 2nd minute when Jordan Henderson struck a superb opener. Barely a minute later, Morgan Rogers made it 2-0 in the 3rd minute, and the Cherries were left wondering what had hit them.
Pedro Opens the Second Half, Evanilson Gives Bournemouth Hope
Chelsea came out just as sharply after the break. João Pedro made it 3-0 in the 46th minute, bursting through almost as soon as the second half began.
Bournemouth responded quickly. Evanilson pulled one back in the 51st minute, and for a short spell, with a little under 40 minutes still to play, the visitors’ fans could dare to wonder whether a comeback was on.
It wasn’t. Pedro struck again in the 67th minute, finishing off a cross from Pep Chavarría that came from a tricky pass by Rogers.

Henderson Finishes It With a Free-Kick
Three minutes later, Chelsea put the game beyond doubt. Cole Palmer lined up the free-kick, but it was 36-year-old Henderson who took it, whipping the ball around the wall in the 70th minute for his second of the afternoon and Chelsea’s fifth.
What It Means
Xabi Alonso’s side now have 23 goals in just eight league and cup games this season, and the win moves them up to fifth in the table. It also marks a strong return to Premier League action after the international break.
For Bournemouth, the defeat drops them to 18th and into the relegation zone, a worrying position that now has them looking over their shoulders.
Final score: Chelsea 5-1 Bournemouth.
